Sangam, the Gurmukhi to Shahmukhi(Urdu) transliteration software, has been developed to break the script barrier of Punjabi language with the click of a mouse. Use Sangam to type your Punjabi document in Gurmukhi script and convert and save it in Shahmukhi script. The text in Shahmukhi can be viewed both in Nask and Nastaliq fonts. The text can also be imported in InPage. Sangam is completely compatible with MS-Word. Any Gurmukhi file created in MS-Word can be opened and edited in Sangam and converted to Shahmukhi.

	Transliteration speed tested at ten pages per minute on a PIV system. The speed may vary from system to system and go down for larger text.
	Import facility to convert Gurmukhi Unicode and ISCII coded files to DOC, RTF, HTML or plain text formats.
	Basic Gurmukhi editor provided along with a virtual keyboard with hints for users who are not comfortable with Gurmukhi typing.
	Facility to customize the keyboard to any of the supported Gurmukhi keyboards.
	Punjabi English transliteration utility for typing Punjabi text in English.
